Appeal considered findings of the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and whether or not the Tribunal had erred in law in making those findings.
KAL v DJL (No 2) [2022] QDC 275
An appeal concerning the making of a Protection Order, where the Court considered there was an act of domestic violence, but the order wasn’t ultimately “necessary or desirable” in the circumstances of the case. On the question of costs, whether, in the circumstances of a finding that a party has been the victim of domestic violence, whether this should depart from the ordinary rule that costs follow the event.
